They were too short for meGloria Vanderbilt Women's Amanda Classic Tapered Jean - 24 RegularOrdered these in my search for true denim (no stretchy fibers / no shaping)Honestly - the fit the best of the bunch - but I'm still not crazy about them. They are baggy in the thigh area and too big in the waist - so I re-ordered 2 sizes down. These jeans don't feel like denim at all. They feel like soft, comfortable pajamas. Which can be perceived as a good thing or a bad thing. The fabric appears to be thicker than the other jeans I ordered (all Levi's) - but it still feels (both tactile / wearing) like cotton / flannel. And no snarky comments, please. I'm older. And I grew up in the south (fun fact - my grandparents - now deceased - had a cotton farm - my Mother and surviving siiblings now lease the land to cotton farmers) I know that denim is cotton. Add to that - my Mother is a professional seamstress - so - to be clear - I cannot / do not sew (pesky rebellion at it's finest) - but I grew up folding, pinning, cutting fabric for patterns, etc.But I'm rambling - for the price - these jeans are okay ... bordering on good. But I have no idea how the sizing works. Once I receive the smaller size - I will be able to better gauge the thickness - and I will post an update.I had NO idea - finding a pair of traditional denim jeans - without lycra, spandex or any weird stretchy fibers added - would be so difficult. I would love black - but even a dark, dark, navy will work - I just want thick, true, old-school denim jeans - straight or boot cut. ARGH. I was wonderng if the plus-sizing was limiting my search - or the fact that I was looking for 'black' or 'navy' or 'dark wash' - so I omitted plus size and omitted black - and I'm still finding all of these stretchy jeans, skinny jeans, tapered jeans. Sigh.My work attire is a royal blue polo and khaki bottoms. I work in the fitness industry. So, finding women's khakis that fit well and are stretchy is very hard. Also, being a taller woman and finding pants that are long enough is very hard. I have bought many of these for work and they fit very well. I love the high waist. I feel very secure. I can do squats and deadlifts, I can move easily and teach group fitness classes in these. I am wearing them constantly and walking a lot, but they aren't super durable. I have been in my job for a little over 1 year, and 3 months of that was working from home so I wasn't wearing these pants, and I have already gotten rid of 3 pairs because they either got worn out between the thighs or because they shrank in length from the dryer. I do not put these in the dryer anymore.Love these pants!! Four working pockets, hugs without clinging. Will buy more in the future.These are true to fit in the waist. They run a bit too long. I’m 5’8” with long legs, and they still fit a bit too long in the leg. I think they’ll be ok, if I’m wearing high heels. They fit too loose in the hips and thighs for my figure, but I am an apple. They seem to be good quality. I’m curious as to how they wash. I’ll update my review after doing so.It's been years since I found Gloria Vanderbilt Plus-size jeans. Used to be that's all I wore; I still have some that are over 20 years old (gasp-giggle). I am THRILLED to find them here, TICKLED to get them at such a great price, JOYOUS that they fit and feel just as great as ever. For you plus-size gals: I am 5'6", 260lbs and bought a size 24. Some might consider them a bit long, but that's the way I like them. I do, however, miss the swan and signature :-)While the jeans fit my daughter quite well. She comes to me a month later and shows me the nice hole in her thigh. Not at all happy because the send back window closed two says before. Even though I really was enjoyong this brand myself, I will probably not buy it again.Gloria Vanderbilt has been making good quality jeans since... Forever! This is my first pair and I'm so very happy with the fit. It's not easy for us Curvy Girls to find good style and good fit in jeans. This is a straight leg. It fits my fuller thighs and hips as well as my narrower waist. I'm glad I ordered two pair. The black is super black (love that). These G.V.'s will not go to my jeans graveyard of fit mishaps at the back of my closet. Happy days.ULA verdad es una lástima no habérmelo quedado... Pero si me falló mucho la talla. Una verdadera lástima que no me haya quedado :(Great product. The jeans fit extremely well and look good. I will certainly buy this brand again.The fabric is heavier than I had expected. When I washed the jeans they came out quite wrinkled. However they fit well.happy with everyting
