I am a small person & NYDJ always fit me better than any other brand & they last longer too.I have a number of pairs of NYDJ Marilyn Straight Leg jeans, all of which fit perfectly and all of which were made in the USA. I can wear a size 4, but a size 2 fits me best. I love the fit and feel of NYDJ Jeans, so when I saw these in Stone I confidently ordered a size 2. When they arrived, to my shock, they were huge on me. I must have had 2-3 inches to spare around the waist. I had read an earlier review that some NYDJ pants ordered from Amazon turned out to be made in China and did not fit well. I looked at my new size 2 pants and sure enough - "Made in China". I took a chance and exchanged them for a size 0 and was pleasantly surprised to find they fit well, slightly tight, but with the little but of spandex they are fine. I checked the label and the size 0 pants were made in the USA! It appears NYDJ needs more quality control on those items made in China. There is no way that the size 2 I bought was a typical size 2 compared to my other NYDJ size 2 jeans. It would be helpful to know before ordering online whether you are getting a pair made in the USA or one made in China - there clearly is a difference. Without that, I no longer have the confidence to order these pants from Amazon or anywhere else online.The jeans were just delivered today and I kept my fingers crossed as I was trying them on for the first time. I really don't like to buy clothing online because even when trying stuff on in the store it seems like I never like the way things fit. I am a very high-waisted chic and I really hate low-rise jeans. This jeans fit like they were tailored made for me. No more muffin top! They make me look long-legged and lean. The color is perfect. The material is soft and very forgiving...no pinching or bunching. They are really the best fitting jeans I have tried on in YEARS ! I have been working to lose weight and have a goal of 15 - 20 more pounds so I'm going to wait to buy any more of these since they are kinda pricey...but you can bet I will once I reach my target weight. For now this one pair will have to do me. If you are on the fence about ordering these jeans, pull the trigger...you won't be sorry. They are fairly true to size...maybe on the generous side so if you are sort of in between sizes, definitely go one size smaller.If you think finding that perfect pair of jeans is only in your dreams or just "5 lbs away" then you haven't tried these. Perfect for anyone with curves. Every other pair of jeans I have ever had if they fit my hips and butt were always too big in the waist. These fit my hips and butt, and fit my waist perfectly. The waist is high enough that you never have to worry about looking like a plumber or too high where you have that "mom jean" look. The best part of these are they have just enough spandex to hold what you need held in without feeling like jeggings. Loved them so much I ended up buying 3 other pairs in different colors and style. They all fit as great as the first, and sizing was consistent. I usually always buy jeans a size up because of the hip/butt issue, but not these. Every pair is my general size - no need to go up, in fact going up a size in these would be too big on me.NYDJ are always great products, high quality and fit well. I'm keeping these jeans. That being said, another reviewer mentioned that the pants don't match the product picture and they were completely correct. If I didn't know better, I would almost think these were boot cut jeans. They are described as straight leg, but the picture makes it look like they would be much tighter around the ankle than they are. I got these to try to wear with boots but also to be loose enough that I could wear with heels if I wanted. I don't think they'll work with boots. The only thing I can imagine is that whoever took the picture gathered up all the extra material at her ankles with a clothes pin to make it tighter.These are really nice jeans. Comfortable, good color. I like them a lot and am keeping them. But if you're looking for something tight on the leg, these are not the jeans for you.I only buy NYDJ since hitting the big 50...that was more than a decade ago and it's only recently that I noticed the inconsistency in sizes. Which is why I buy on Amazon and ONLY if there are reviews to help determine how they fit. The length on these is good; but, I bought another style w/these and they were about 3 inches too short.Some styles are also made in other than USA, which may contribute to the sizing problems. You would think, once manufacturing is taken outside the USA, there would be closer monitoring of the process.Oh well. Still stick w/this brand. The color is true and doesn't wash out or pale. I gentle wash and line dry for maximum life.No real wow factor in this color. But a nice jean, if you like them on the darker side with dark stitching. Medium weight. I love shopping at Amazon for NYDJ especially because sometimes you find some really great prices on these really expensive jeans, which I think are the best brand made for tall ladies who need a longer inseam. Any lady 5'9" and taller know how difficult it is to find nice jeans with a long enough inseam for us. It's been a lifelong battle for me. Taller ladies, if you haven't tried the "Marilyn" straight jeans, give them a try. They have a standard 33" inseam and fit great. Order a size smaller too. Macys almost never has them on sale and even then, Amazon usually has a better price.Although I do love them, the 33" length is too long. I had them all altered in two ways. I had each pair shortened 1 inch. Also, I am no longer a young woman with a flat stomach, as as such I never wear any tops tucked in. The belt loops protruded under a lot of my tops. When I had my jeans shortened, I also had her stitch down each belt loop. It gives the jeans a smoother look. Last year I cut off the belt loops on a pair of jean capris..Mistake. The "nubs" left stuck out under my clothing. I highly recommend for women who do not wish to wear any tops tucked in to have the belt loops stitched down. I tried it myself, but I don't have a sewing machine and the material was too thick for me to even do it.No problem with the quality, but although these are described as "straight", they are really skinny - not what I wanted at all. I don't understand why, as I have the same style and size in dark blue, and they are fine. Sadly, I had to return them.Love these jeans - best on the market.Had to return, too tight and wrong shape, very disappointing for NJDJ's.Brilliant fit - comfortable and super qualityNot only the jeans size chart gave a range of fits rather than single waist size per jeans size( so there is a huge chance than there is a size misfit), returning the jeans proved to be a pain in neck as well. I didn’t get back my entire money bcz of exchange rate, custom duty and blah blah. Not worth buying. I bought it for 12,000 and got back only 7000rs. I needed a good fitting jeans desperately, so I went ahead and bought a pair from mango which was of superb material and fit. And it is easily available in India so no problem in returns. These global store products aren’t worth buying.
